TWO SCOTTISH IMAGES
THE KING OVER THE WATER
An image, for Challenge 56, recalling the Jacobite toast 'The King over the Water' when the glass was held over the finger bowl to show that the toast was to the exiled King James 'over the water' in France, not the Hanoverian King George. After the toast the glass was smashed in the fireplace so no lesser toast could ever be drunk from it.
THE IMMORTAL MEMORY
A tribute, to mark Burns Night on January 25th, from Challenge 58.
